Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia

We took a day trip today to Harper’s Ferry, where we hiked a little bit of the Appalachian Trail.  It was very cool.  The kids did great, no whining about being too tired until the very end.  We went to historic downtown area, and walked over the footbridge over the Potomac river.

We drove little back roads to get there, which were absolutely beautiful!  We also happened across a town called Purcellville, so we stopped and took some pictures.

Tomorrow we are pulling out of here, and going to Camping World to get our trailer tire fixed.  Our appt isn’t until 1230, so we’ll find somewhere near there to stay for the night, then figure out what’s next.  Probably Luray Caverns, then back down to Asheville.

Oh you guys, I’ve heard that Luray is wonderful. Hope you get to see it.

Sorry about the rig. Seems like we’re all dealing with mechanical BS of some sort this week. We sympathize. Good luck!

We’ll see how things go, Luray might be out for now. We will see some caverns somewhere in our travels. Carlsbad if nothing else.
