The Ford dealer had to order new parts, of course. They were overnighted, and installed this morning. We got on the road about 1130 this morning. We made it to Bristol, which straddles the state line between Tennessee and Virginia. I read about it in a travel book, and thought the kids might get a kick out of the sign. Its Virginia on one side of the street, Tennessee on the other. We had to wait almost half an hour for the lights to come on.
On the way into town, we passed a big county park with a playground, so we got the trailer set up, and took the kids back to play. They deserved it, they were really good in the truck today. Though Caitlin jabbered on constantly for 3 hours, when Ian got tired of talking to her, she talked to us, when we got tired, she talked to herself. Finally we turned on a movie. After the playground, we had to stop and eat at the giant hot dog place. But we all had hamburgers. They weren’t too bad.
