I’m never gonna catch up

We left the Yosemite area several days ago, two campgrounds ago now, but we had a couple of nice hikes in the Escapees park where we stayed for Yosemite.

We also had our toilet seal replaced.  Funny, Sean didn’t feel like doing that himself.  The repair guy was really nice, and we chatted quite a bit.  He went home and told his wife about us.  She homeschools their 3 kids.  She called me the next morning (Good Friday), to invite us to an egg hunt she and a few other moms were having in a local park.  Since it was such short notice, she even brought me a dozen hard boiled eggs for Ian and Caitlin to color.  It was extremely nice of her, and the kids had a great time.

Hi Guys -

Beautiful pictures. Yosemite is one place I’ve never been in California and someplace I hope to get to eventually. Charlene and I just got back from a short trip to Seattle. One day while we were there, we drove to Mt. Rainier. There was still about 6 to 8 feet of snow on the ground and you could only drive to Longmire Lodge which is about 6 mi. up the mountain. It had snowed the night before and the pine trees were covered in snow. It looked like a Christmas card. By the time you get to Washington State, the rest of the park should be open and you can take the loop road going up to Paradise Lodge and around the mountain. I’ve been there in Summer and it’s beautiful to see. Best wishes for a safe journey.

Stephen

A nice invite for Easter eggs. You are meeting some really great people out there.
