After Luray we moved over to Haymarket, which is just outside DC. We went into the city one day, and met a friend who also has a Leonberger. It was cool because we hadn’t actually met in person, I know her from a dog related email list. Apparently I was having a senior moment and forgot to take my camera in, so got no pictures. She kept Sophie while we went over to the zoo, which was fantastic. We wouldn’t have been able to stay nearly as long if we’d had to leave Sophie back at the RV. Then she fed us a fabulous dinner. We spent one morning walking around Manassas National Battlefield. The kids hated it but we made them do it anyway. Then we went to our niece’s wedding, which was great fun. Though Ian thought it was all boring, but he liked eating dinner. Again, I did a bad job with pictures. I only took this one shot of the kids, didn’t even think to take a better one of them all dressed up. Then I got tired of lugging the big camera so I put it back in the truck.
